Enable Segment Metrics

Integrate Segment data into TargetBoard to track your top product metrics and gain visibility and insights into your users' retention, usage and more.

Before You Begin

Configure Your PostgreSQL Destination

1. Log in to Segment and navigate to Connections.
2. Navigate to Destinations and select the Storage tab.
3. Click Add storage destination - keep the tab open.
4. Open a new tab and navigate to Unify and select Profiles Sync.
5. Go to the first tab and Select PostgreSQL as your destination type.
6. Create a new warehouse with the following (provided by TargetBoard):
   1. Host name.
   2. Port.
   3. Database name.
   4. User name.
   5. Password.
7. Click Test Connection, verify and save.

Sync Schedule

1. Initial sync may take 24 to 48 hours.
2. Segment syncs your warehouse once or twice a day, depending on your billing plan.
3. Segment Business Tier customers can customize sync frequency and timing via:
   1. Warehouse -> Settings -> Sync Schedule
4. You can schedule up to the number of syncs allowed by your plan.
