Integrate Mixpanel data into TargetBoard to track your top product metrics and gain visibility into your users' retention, usage and more.
Before You Begin
To connect Mixpanel to TargetBoard, you’ll need to create a Service Account with appropriate access to your project(s).
You must have Owner or Admin permissions to manage a project’s Service Accounts.
Create a Service Account
- Log in to Mixpanel, and navigate to Organization Settings -> Service Accounts.
- Click Create New Service Account.
- Select the Role and the Projects this account should have access to.
- Click Createand copy and save the secret key.
Service accounts do not expire by default. You may specify a validity period during creation to align with your org’s security policies. Expired service account credentials will stop working automatically.
Project-Level Service Accounts
- Log in to Mixpanel, and navigate to Organization Settings -> Service Accounts.
- By deafult, these are assigned and Admin Role.
- Deleting the account revokes access only from that specific project
Send to Customer Success
- Once created, send the following:
- Service Account Username or ID.
- Service Account Secret.
- Associated Project(s).
