Enable Engineering and Product Metrics

Connecting your Jira instance to TargetBoard enables access to all Jira-based KPIs and models. This includes standard metrics such as cycle time, planning analysis, quality tracking and velocity as well as more complex metrics such as DORA and scoring for your developers.

This document outlines the configuration required set up Jira as a connected data source using Stitch, TargetBoard’s ETL pipeline. Use only the relevant section for your own Jira setup (self-managed or cloud-hosted).

If you're unsure whether your Jira is cloud-hosted or self-managed, please contact your internal IT administrator.

Self-Managed Instances

Stitch only supports connections to Jira over HTTPS. If your server uses HTTP, the integration will fail. Confirm that your Jira base URL uses HTTPS before proceeding.

Whitelist Stitch's IP addresses to allow TargetBoard to access and present your data in your workspace according to the location of your Jira server.
